- Managing Partner
Paul J. Delmore is the managing partner of Simpson Delmore Greene LLP. Mr. Delmore has over 20 years of civil litigation experience focused on complex business disputes, which include the defense of construction actions on behalf of developers, general contractors and subcontractors. Additionally, Mr. Delmore is well-versed in insurance coverage disputes relating to construction litigation. He also has a high degree of expertise in the defense of securities broker-dealers and other financial professionals in FINRA arbitration matters and state and federal court actions.
Mr. Delmore represents a number of businesses in the hospitality industry. The firm provides support to its hospitality clients with respect to the defense of litigation that may arise involving the business or its premises, negotiation of leases at the properties, representation in the purchase or sale of hospitality businesses and negotiations on behalf of its clients before the Alcohol & Beverage Control Board of California ("ABC"). The firm is a member of the San Diego Food & Beverage Association. In addition to the hospitality industry, Mr. Delmore advises and represents businesses with respect to entity formation, purchase, sale or mergers, and any corporate transactions, including real property related business issues.
Mr. Delmore was born in Rochester, New York and was admitted to the California Bar in 1988. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the State University of New York, at Oswego in 1978. He was awarded the J.D. degree from the University of San Diego, School of Law, cum laude, in 1988. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the San Diego County Bar Association. Initially, Mr. Delmore worked as an associate attorney at the law firm of Dorazio, Barnhorst & Bonar and was an associate attorney and partner at Edwards, White & Sooy. Mr. Delmore is a founding partner in Simpson Delmore Greene LLP along with John A. Simpson and Terence L. Greene. The firm combines their specialties and provides legal services to the business community, the hospitality industry, and the construction and insurance industries.
Mr. Delmore has a high degree of experience in alternative dispute resolution and the mediation process. Currently, nearly all litigation is placed by the courts in some manner of alternative dispute resolution, and Mr. Delmore has achieved notable success for his clients in reaching cost-effective results by resolving their cases prior to trial.
